The Management Committee is accountable for delivering our Club Vision and the governance of all sections of the Blackburn United Community Sports Club.

James Johnstone
Jim is the Club's Vice President and started off in the youth section as a coach in 2000, taking his first team at Under 9's. In 2001 Jim took on the position as Blackburn United Youth Football Club President and stayed in that position until the Youth Club merged with the adult side then playing in the SJFA.
Chris Boyle
Chris doubles up his duties as our Secretary with being the Match Secretary for our successful boys 2009s team too.
Angela Campbell
Angie has been Treasurer of the Community Club since August 2003. Angie assisted in the administration of the 1993 team for a number of years and now also carries out the administration and running of the Club’s Soccer School. Angie is responsible for the Club’s hospitality offerings and is heavily involved in fundraising for the Club and the Community.
Neil MacCallum
A qualified economist and partly based in Glasgow, Neil works on delivering an increased portfolio of sports and community-based initiatives in our local community and is charged with the strategic development of the Club as a membership organisation, generating additional income, funding and community benefits.
Brian Smillie
Brian is a former player, captain and assistant manager of Blackburn United and is responsible for the development needs of all the coaches associated with the Club. Brian also coaches some of our younger age groups and has been responsible for many of them going on to play pro-youth football with some of the bigger SPFL sides in the central belt.
Trevor Longhurst
Trevor was an influential coach with our successful Boys 2006 side and works in the community with the socially disadvantaged. Trevor also runs the club's popular Sporting Memories Dementia Group.
Paul Meechan
Paul is long-time Secretary of the First Team and helped drive their move from Junior football and the ERSJFA into the Scottish Football Pyramid and towards full SFA membership.
Sonia Hubbard
Sonia started volunteering in the youth section in 2019 as team secretary for her daughter’s U13 & U15s teams. Sonia is passionate about grassroots football, supporting youth players in their football aspirations and delivering our girls a fun, friendly and safe environment in which to play and develop.
Neil Purdie
Neil is a popular local businessman and coaches within the boys youth section and is also a major sponsor of the Community Club. Neil is also the main shirt sponsor of the First Team through his Purdie Worldwide business.
Martin Strachan
Martin has extensive coaching experience within the community club and looks after the development of our younger players.
Lynn Nelson
The driving force behind our girls 2009s team, Lynn is a huge proponent of girls and ladies football and, with Sonia, guides our growing girls and ladies section of the club.
